Leigh Anne Spraetz

Leigh Anne Spraetz is president of Academic Futures, Inc., and has been providing individualized college/career counseling and coaching for students and their families for over fourteen years. She currently spends about 25% of her time touring and evaluating college campuses at an average of 60 per year.  She meets with admissions deans, staff and counselors and interacts with college students to learn about a college or university.  Her specialized knowledge about majors, campus environment, and programs helps her determine a best ‘fit’ for her clients.

Ms. Spraetz attends continuing education conferences annually to stay on top of admissions trends. Her sense for coaching and motivating youth, allowing them time to view their inner world and strengths in order to set goals and take ownership of their life direction is her passion. She is dedicated to remaining innovative in order to reach students in a manner that lends respect and awe for who they can become. She works with many types of students, including those who are gifted, those who struggle socially or with learning disabilities, and those with Asperger’s Syndrome.

She gives back to her community through her memberships in community service organizations with her son and daughter, volunteering well over 100 hours each year. She also gives speeches frequently regarding developing a high school profile for college admissions, choosing college majors and career paths, setting healthy boundaries in parenting through the college admissions process.
